Kerry vs Galway: TV and stream information, throw-in time, betting odds and more

The 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship draws to a conclusion on Sunday afternoon and the Sam Maguire Cup is the prize on offer for Kerry and Galway.

There have been plenty of twists and turns along the way. Last year’s champions Tyrone were eliminated following back-to-back defeats to Ulster rivals Derry and Armagh.

Mayo, beaten in the 2020 and 2021 deciders, failed to make it past the last eight.

Kerry, as Division One champions, were always fancied to have a big say in this year’s Championship, but few would have envisaged that Galway would be left standing on the final day of the season.

Pádraic Joyce’s men clinched promotion earlier this year, but were beaten by Roscommon in the Division Two decider in Croke Park.

The three-time All-Star forward was an integral part of the last Galway side to lift Sam back in 2001 as the Tribesmen became the first team to win the All-Ireland title via the Qualifiers.

Kerry’s wait for a senior title extends back to 2014 when they ousted Donegal in the final. They also lost out to Dublin in the 2015 and 2019 finals with their most recent final appearance also going to a replay.

Jack O’Connor has won All-Irelands in both his previous tenures as manager of Kerry and the Kingdom are strongly fancied to prevail in Sunday’s final.

However, having already defeated Mayo, Armagh and Derry in their run to the final, Galway will be determined to spoil Kerry’s homecoming party.
