Kerry Katona says she's going bald after years of gluing in hair extensions

Kerry Katona has revealed that years of gluing in her hair extensions have forced her to go bald.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 40, shared an honest snap with fans as she opened up about losing her hair.

Sharing a snap of her bald patch on the side of her head, Kerry admits she "hates" how "fine and wispy" her blonde locks are.

"So after years and years of putting extensions after extensions in my hair from tapes to Micro rings even bloody glue I’ve started to go bald," she wrote alongside the snap.

"My hair is so fine and wispy I just hate it!!!"

Kerry then shared her top tips for covering up the issue, plugging in clip on hair extensions that she now swears by.

Despite facing hardships with her hair, Kerry recently revealed she feels "empowered" for the "first time" in her life.

Kerry took to her Instagram page on Sunday to share that she is "feeling fit and funky" as she slipped her trim and toned figure into a red lace bra and matching knickers.

Cutting a striking appearance, mother of five Kerry oozed confidence in the offering where she told about her wellbeing improving ever since she began dedicating herself to a healthy lifestyle with the help of her personal trainer fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

Opening up on her mindset, Kerry captioned the image: "Feeling fit and funky with @mfitofficial for all info links for ALL my endeavours are in my linktree... happy Sunday people let me make it clear how incredibly empowered and strong I feel standing here!

"I’m in full control for the first time in my whole life! #strongwomen OF link is in my linktree too #superproud #fitness #wellbeing #mentalhealth."

As part of her lifestyle overhaul, Kerry also made the decision to quit smoking in January last year - and she believes the decision could have saved her life.

As Covid-19 ravaged her lungs last December, the reality star admits she felt like someone had “looked after” her, as she decided to end a 26-year habit of smoking 10-15 cigarettes a day at the most crucial time.

“I’d been smoking since I was 14,” says Kerry. “If I was still a smoker, this would have been different. I had the worst cough ever. I felt like I had a mask on my lungs.

"I was coughing so much I was being sick. I knew when the virus left me, because I’d coughed that much it was like coughing up a furball.”
