Earlier this week Kerry Katona and ex-husband Brian McFadden united in virtual pride as they both paid gushing tributes to their eldest daughter. Molly turned 21 on Wednesday (August 31) and both her mum and dad took to social media to say just how proud they are of their "baby girl".
But now the pair have surprised fans by reuniting in person for the first time in years. Kerry, 41, and Brian, 42, who also share 19-year-old daughter Lily-Sue, split in 2004 after two years of marriage and haven’t been seen together in public in over a decade.
And the Atomic Kitten star reunited with the former Westlife singer to celebrate Molly’s 21st birthday at her party in Cork. Cheshire-based Kerry jetted over to Ireland earlier this week where her daughter Molly has lived for the last few years as she studied at Trinity College in Dublin, where she recently graduated, in order to be present for her milestone birthday.

Kerry and Brian were seen cutting shapes on the dancefloor to the song Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO alongside birthday girl Molly. They were filmed by a friend with Kerry, who looked stunning in a green jumpsuit, sharing the video to her own Instagram Story. The short clip was captioned: "What an amazing night for a little sweetheart."
Another video, posted by a fan page for Brian, saw Kerry and Brian beam either side of their two stunning daughters alongside another family member. "Three generations. So happy to see them," a message across the video of the five of them posing for photos read.
Earlier this week Kerry shared a rare photo of herself alongside all four of her daughters. including Dylan-Jorge and Heidi from other relationships. Sharing a selfie of them all together, she penned on Instagram: "With my girls… happy 21st xxxxx." Her pal Ulrika Jonsson, 55, told her: "You make good kids Kerry." While Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson replied: " Beautiful."
Kerry recently said in her OK! Magazine column: "I’m flying to Ireland this week for Molly’s 21st birthday. It will be great fun being there with everyone. I can’t believe my baby will be turning 21. I’m so proud of her. It feels amazing looking at what she’s achieved and everything we’ve accomplished together. All you can do as a mum is guide them and then they’re on their own."
She added: "But they’re never alone. She knows I’m always here. Whenever she’s down or upset, I’m just a phone call away. But yes, I can’t believe we will be celebrating her 21st. It makes me feel very old!"
And it appears they're doing more than making her feel old. On Sunday, Kerry returned to Instagram with a string of snaps from her trip to the Emerald Isle, including selfies with her kids and shots of fiance Ryan Mahoney joining in the celebrations. "It’s been soooo much fun but my god never thought I’d say this but my girls can’t half out drink me @lils.mc @123_mollymc," the mum-of-five said.
She also shared a string of party snaps, featuring Molly cutting her music-themed cake as she follows in her parents footsteps and of the family posing in front of a huge set of lights spelling out the birthday girl's name. "What a great weekend! Bloody 21!!!!! Where has the time gone??" Kerry penned.
And fans were quick to praise Kerry and Brian for uniting for their daughter's special day. @claire.elizabeth2021 said: "Amazing that you all celebrated together. That is everything for your daughter just everything." @dochertyt wrote: "Brilliant pics glad that you all got together for the girls amazing."
@mellycl30 commented: "She’s the image of her dad and Lily is Kerry’s double. Beautiful girls." @chorrill replied: "So nice to see you and Brian being together to celebrate your daughters birthday all together, your girls are amazing." @pixiebabe72 added: "What a lovely pic of Molly with you and Brian at the end.@kerrykatona7."
