Kerry Katona has shared on 'fearing the worst' after discovering a lump in her armpit.
The former Atomic Kitten singer opened up on having health worries earlier this year in her column for new! magazine and explained how she sought medical advice when she noticed the lump during a photoshoot.
The 41-year-old also revealed her relief at being told that it was a lymph node but admitted that it did not stop her mind going into overdrive before discovering that it was harmless.
"I went to the doctors about a lump in my armpit earlier this year after I noticed it while I was on a photoshoot," Kerry wrote.
"It ended up just being a lymph node, but I did really fear the worst. When you have a health scare, your life can be taken out of your hands in a split second."
In October, Kerry revealed she'd been diagnosed with arthritis following years of severe pain.
The star had been complaining of chronic pain since the birth of her son Max 13 years ago.
After visiting a doctor, she was given a full medical evaluation and was told she was not only suffering from arthritis in her shoulders, but several other health issues.
Kerry told her followers in an emotional video on Instagram she was also told she had a protruding disc in her back, as well as cysts on her liver and ovaries, and will need surgery and medication to correct the health issues.
According to Closer magazine, the former singer was “terrified” to go for the medical evaluation as she was scared doctors would “find something awful”.

She was relieved when she was told her constant pain and health woes were due to arthritis and back pain, but Kerry is concerned the drugs and alcohol she’s taken in the past, as well as smoking, “has done lasting damage” to her body.
Kerry is now “terrified” her old party lifestyle will “ruin” her future, especially now she’s found her soulmate, fiancé Ryan Mahoney.
“She wants to spend the rest of her life with him watching her kids grow - she is terrified that is going to be cruelly snatched away from her because of her past lifestyle,” the source added.
The couple got engaged in August last year after two years of dating, and they’re reportedly planning on eloping to Las Vegas with her kids - Molly, 20, Lilly-Sue, 18, Heidi, 14, Max, 13, and Dylan-Jorge, seven - once the Covid-19 travel restrictions are eased.
Kerry has previously shared her battle with drugs and booze, candidly confessing she’s overdosed twice, but after splitting from her ex-husband George Kay, who died in 2019 after an overdose, the former I’m A Celebrity winner has overhauled her lifestyle.
