Kerry Katona has been mistaken for an Emmerdale star after revealing a drastic new look for her latest role. The star is currently starring as the villainous Mother Gothel in a touring production of Rapunzel.
However, many fans didn't even recognise her with her new brunette locks after she debuted her dark wig less than two weeks ago, The Mirror reports. The 43-year-old performer, who has starred in various pantomimes throughout her long and varied career, has been likened to Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter.
Kerry, who is well known for her bleach blonde locks, shared a snap of herself on Instagram wearing her Mother Gothel wig, she captioned the post: "Now I look more like Mother Gothel."

It wasn't long before the comments section was flooded by fans who couldn't believe how much she resembled the ITV soap star. "First look I thought it was Chas from Emmerdale," said one follower. Another wrote: "I thought it was Chas". A third said: "Omg I thought it was Chas off Emmerdale".
While others were complimentary over the look, with one person writing at the time: "The colour suits you". Another follower said: "Dark hair suits you and you look younger".
