Celebrity chef Jameson Stocks has revealed that he was dumped by Kerry Katona on the day of his close friend The Vivienne’s funeral, claiming the breakup came as a shock after what seemed to be a promising relationship. The former Atomic Kitten star had appeared to have moved on from her fiancé, Ryan Mahoney, earlier this year, sparking rumors of a new romance with Jameson. The pair were spotted together on a weekend trip last month, and Jameson has now claimed they secretly dated for two months before their sudden split.
According to Jameson, Kerry had confessed her love for him and even spoke about a future together. However, things took an unexpected turn when he attended Vivienne’s funeral on January 27. The RuPaul’s Drag Race star, whose real name was James Lee Williams, tragically passed away last month, and Jameson has revealed that Kerry refused to accompany him to the service, citing concerns over being photographed. He also claimed that Kerry wanted to keep their relationship private to secure a spot on E4’s Celebs Go Dating, according to the Mirror.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Jameson described the painful breakup, saying, “One day she told me she loves me and wants to marry me, and she’s telling my children she loves them.” He continued: “The thing that upsets me the most is that I wear my heart on my sleeve a little bit like Kerry. On the day of James’s funeral, I went to the Jellycat store to get her daughter some Jellycats because she loves them. I didn’t say to Kerry what I was doing.”
Jameson claimed that shortly after returning home, a story broke about their romance, and Kerry, in response, said she could no longer attend the funeral due to the media attention. “She ended up going back home and she was crying… And that was the last time I saw her,” he revealed, adding that Kerry subsequently messaged him and then blocked him.
Jameson, who had a difficult upbringing before becoming a chef, said he began dating Kerry after her breakup with Ryan in November. The pair reportedly connected on Instagram, and their relationship moved quickly. He posted a photo of Kerry sitting beside him on a train in January, showing her makeup-free and glowing, with the caption “Heading back up north.”
Meanwhile, Kerry has expressed in recent weeks that she’s in a much better place following her breakup with Ryan. In her weekly OK! Magazine column, she shared that she was looking forward to 2025, stating, “I’m feeling really good going into 2025 – it’s going to be a great year.” On Valentine’s Day, Kerry gave an update on her love life, revealing that she plans to stay single for the foreseeable future. “It is extremely serious… how do I say this? It’s with myself,” she quipped, suggesting she was focusing on herself for now.
