Kerry Katona said she 'couldn't see Brian McFadden as much as she wanted to' while pregnant with their daughter Molly.
The former face of Iceland, 42, was responding to news from Love Island 's Molly-Mae Hague, who said she feels lonely during pregnancy when her partner Tommy Fury is away working.
Kerry gave birth to Brian's daughter Molly in 2001 and said she knows how the mum-to-be feels having been left alone herself while her ex was touring with Westlife.
"Molly-Mae Hague has spoken about feeling lonely during her pregnancy when her partner Tommy Fury is away due to work. It’s hard for anyone going through something so huge when their partner isn’t always by their side and I know how that feels," Kerry said.
"When I was pregnant with our Molly, her dad Brian was touring with Westlife and I had times when I was alone. We never had FaceTime then and it was hard when I couldn’t see him as much as I wanted to.
"I got on with it though, like I always do!," reports OK! magazine.
Kerry and Brian divorced after the birth of their second daughter Lilly-Sue, 19.
The Westlife star moved back to his native Ireland while Kerry stayed in the UK where she went on to have three more kids, Max, Heidi and Dylan-Jorge.
Brian, 42, welcomed his daughter Ruby in May 2021 with fiancée Danielle Parkinson.
Kerry made at bit of a dig at the My Love star when she said Brian was a better dad to his new baby than he ever was to their children.
"That’s not me s*****g him off, he’ll admit that himself. He’s a better dad now to Ruby and I think that hurts the girls,' Kerry told OK! Magazine.
Despite their separation, Kerry and Brian reunited for Molly's 21st recently.
Footage from the party showed the exes getting their groove on at the fabulous bash alongside other guests during the night.
Speaking about the party, which was held in Dublin, Kerry admitted she was emotional seeing Lilly and Molly with their father again.
Writing about the experience in her column for New! magazine, she said: "The party was amazing. Everyone came together for Molly and that's what it was about.
"Me and Brian were reunited at the party and it was nice to see him. And I felt quite emotional seeing Lilly and Molly with their dad because I've never really seen it before."
Kerry - who was married to Brian from 2002 until 2006 - added that "it was lovely to watch", gushing the party for Molly's birthday had been a "brilliant night" for all the family.
