Kerry Katona and the celebs with Liverpool links making big money from OnlyFans

A whole host of celebrities have launched pages on OnlyFans.

The content subscription service started in 2016, allowing users to make money by selling pictures and videos which are often explicit, from behind a paywall.

The platform has seen a surge in popularity as the number of subscriptions and creators soared throughout the pandemic.

This has prompted stars such as glamour model, Katie Price, and former Love Island contestant, Lauren Goodger, to join the website.

Former Miss Liverpool Danielle Lloyd revealed in a Facebook Live discussion with The Daily Star this week that Katie consulted her before joining the platform.

Danielle launched her own successful page on the adult subscription website in 2019 and we've rounded up some of the other celebrities with Liverpool links who have started OnlyFans accounts.

Kerry Katona

The 41-year-old from Warrington announced she was joining OnlyFans in 2020 and credits the platform with helping her rebuild her fortune.

She told the Mirror : "People are quick to say, ‘she’s desperate’ if I get out a bit of nipple, but I’ve made my first million since bankruptcy and I’m so, so proud.

“If it wasn’t for OnlyFans I wouldn’t have had money to invest in myself and in making more companies."

Danielle Lloyd

The former Miss Liverpool first joined the platform in October 2019.

Defending her decision to join OnlyFans, Danielle told the MailOnline: "The modelling industry has changed massively since I started.

"Obviously a lot of the lads' mags aren't around anymore, and even the daily women's mags seem to have gone.

"A lot of the stuff has gone online now, and that's why I love using OnlyFans... I'm using it to speak to all my fans that have been following me for the past decade and also my brand new fans and subscribers."

The 38-year-old glamour model relaunched her page on the adult subscription website in December, just a month after giving birth to her fifth child.

Sarah Jayne Dunn

Sarah Jayne Dunn quit her role in Hollyoaks after she joined adult subscription site last year.

Sarah, who has played Mandy in the Channel 4 soap since 1996, said she chose to join the site to "take back control, empowerment and confidence”.

But Channel 4 bosses said Hollyoaks is a "youth-facing drama" with many "young viewers", and therefore does not allow cast members to be active on "certain 18+ websites".

In a heartfelt comment, she told the ECHO : "The last few days have been an absolute whirlwind of emotions. Firstly, I’d like to say a huge thank you for being so supportive and kind, the response has been incredible.

"Whilst this isn’t the outcome I hoped for, I am extremely excited about what the future holds, and buoyed by all of the encouragement.

"It’s important that all of us are able to feel empowered, in whatever we do in life.

"Finally, I would like to thank Hollyoaks for many great years. I’ve worked with some wonderful, incredibly talented people there, who I am honoured to now call friends and I wish the show the best of luck for the future."
