Kozhikode: A 13-year-old student from Bihar, who went missing from the hostel of Vedavyasa Sainik School at Malaparamba on March 24, was traced to Pune on Monday.
According to police, Sanskar Kumar, a class 7 student, left the hostel through an adventurous mode. He allegedly first dropped his mattress from the first floor, then climbed down by using a CCTV cable at around 100 AM and made his way out on March 24.
Following his disappearance, the hosel authorities filed a missing complaint with Nadakavu police, who registered a case and started search operation.
The student was last seen on the platform number four of Palakkad railway station on March 24 at around 630 pm as per the CCTV footage. He then boarded the Kanyakumari-Pune Jayanathi Janatha Express.
In search of the boy, police teams went to Jharkhand and Pune and eventually found him near the Pune railway station in the evening. He would be brought to Kozhikode through a transit warrant.
