Kentucky State University and Kentucky Community and Technical College System create educational par

Kentucky State University is entering a partnership with the statewide Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) to encourage workforce development and help students in trade schools get four-year degrees.

The system says the partnership will streamline transfers between the two institutions, provide scholarships and financial aid and offer more support services for the students involved.

A release from the KCTCS lists the partnership will:

  • Enhance educational access
  • Streamline transfer
  • Offer industry-relevant curricula
  • Provide scholarships and financial aid
  • Offer comprehensive support services for students
  • Impact the community
  • Drive innovation and research

The system is made up of 16 member colleges throughout the state, including seven in eastern Kentucky. Kentucky State University is the second-oldest state college in the Commonwealth and a HBCU.
