Kentucky’s foster care system the focus of virtual town halls this month

The state of Kentucky’s foster care system is going under public review.

The first virtual forum happened Monday for people living in Bullitt, Fayette and Jefferson counties.

A statement from the Administrative Office of the Courts said anyone interested in seeing the system serve children better is encouraged to attend the regional meetings.

Central Kentuckians with an interest in improving the state’s foster care system can attend the next meeting on September 21. A meeting will be held on September 27 for residents of western Kentucky. Eastern Kentuckians are encouraged to attend a meeting on September 30.

The virtual forums are hosted by Citizen Foster Care Review Boards.
