A Kentucky father was arrested after his five-year-old son allegedly took his marijuana brownies and shared them with kids from their neighborhood, leading to two hospitalizations, according to a report.
The incident took place Wednesday in Georgetown, Kentucky, when a confused and concerned parent called the police to report that her children had consumed pot-filled brownies, resulting in severe symptoms.
When officers arrived at the scene, they looked into the matter further and found out that James Sons, 44, had left two pot brownies on his kitchen table. His young son then allegedly swiped both brownies and shared them with three neighborhood kids, according to Fox 56 News.
Reports say two of the children, ages six and 10, exhibited signs such as vomiting and shaking, and had to be taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
"Someone had given kids marijuana brownies and they were throwing up and high," a witness is quoted telling authorities.
Despite Sons claiming he forgot the brownies were out, he was charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, criminal abuse of a child under 12, and three counts of wanton endangerment.
