Kenny Miller claims Willie Collum 'couldn't wait' to send Rangers star John Lundstram off

Kenny Miller reckons Willie Collum was too gung-ho to show John Lundstram a red card in their Premiership clash with Hibs on Saturday.

Rangers were 2-1 up through goals from James Tavernier and Tom Lawrence at Easter Road when Lundstram lunged into Martin Boyle from behind to stop a quick counter attack from the hosts. Collum then showed no hesitation to get his card out his pocket and dismiss the Scouser.

But Miller told BBC Sportscene the whistler got it wrong. He said: "It's a yellow card all day long in a transitional moment where John Lundstram is fully in control of what he does. He's sliding in just going to clip Martin Boyle's heels to stop the counter.

"That is it and it's a yellow card that is it. And Willie cannot wait to get the red card out of his pocket. He's got it wrong. It's a ridiculous decision."

Michael Stewart was also unhappy with the actions of Alfredo Morelos who's sending off put Rangers down to nine men less than ten minutes after his teammate was shown red.

Morelos came on for Antonio Colak after 62 minutes and was sent walking by the 75th minute for a flying elbow and Stewart feels the Colombian striker was showing his frustration at no longer being Gio van Bronckhorst 's number one talisman.

He said: "You know it was back to the first maybe 18 months or two years of Alfredo's career where he was getting himself involved in these situations. There is no doubt this is a red and he will have to swallow the two game ban now.

"It's a shame because he is getting to some level of fitness and I'm sure Giovanni will want to build him up with all the big games coming up."
