Kenny Miller has admitted he was surprised to see Leon King and Charlie McCann from the start against Dundee United after the summer transfer investment at Rangers.
The Light Blues youngsters both got the nod by boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the Scottish Premiership triumph over the Tangerines with Antonio Colak firing both goals in a 2-1 win. It brought an end to the three game losing streak against Old Firm rivals Celtic and Champions League group stage opponents Ajax and Napoli. In that run the Ibrox men failed to score any goals and conceded 11.
But they were back to winning ways at the weekend, a result that proved even more vital after Celtic's surprise dropped points at St Mirren with Ange Postecoglou's men losing their 100% start to the league season and their long-standing unbeaten run that stretched just one day shy of a full year. During the summer window Rangers spent big money on Ben Davies from Liverpool and Ridvan Yilmaz from Besiktas while the likes of Rabbi Matondo and Malik Tillman also arrived at the club.

Speaking on Go Radio, he said: "They're good players, there's no doubt about it. Did I expect to see it? No I didn't to be honest.
"Not when you have put that investment in to the backline but I think it shows how much Giovanni trusts them.
"They're obviously doing their best in training every day, showing up and have earned their slot because he wouldn't have handed it to them if he felt they didn't deserve it.
"McCann I have seen for a few years now and he's a very, very good player.
"I think you saw it in spells with a few chances, he was one of the players in the second half that had really good opportunities in particular, in the same areas Kent and Arfield pick up but he completely missed it.
"But he's a really good technical player, really intelligent footballer. It was great to see him get a game and even more pleasing is those players came in and won. They got on very well, both of them."
