Lifelong Rangers fan Kenny McLean admits it would be a dream come true for his family to join the Ibrox side during his career.
The former Aberdeen man has been long been linked but talk has been silenced . But McLean's love for Rangers remains and he admits he sees himself returning to his home city once his playing career comes to a conclusion.
But the 30-year-old insists no firm offer to join Rangers has ever materialised despite fervent speculation he was set to follow Ryan Jack by swapping the Granite City for Ibrox in 2018. Speaking on the Talk Norwich City podcast, McLean said: "I think long term, it will be back in Glasgow. I get asked that so much, honestly. There's always talk. But there's never been anything in front of me saying 'there you go.'"
But he is under no illusion a transfer to Rangers would leave his Ibrox-supporting beaming if an offer does come along before he hangs up his boots. The Scotland international added: "In the past, there has been more than just talk. It's never materialised into anything.
"If you're brought up and that's who you support, then of course I would. My family would be over the moon."
