ORLANDO, Fla. — Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is adding a new projection mapping show called “Starflake’s Holiday Voyage” to its holiday celebration. The six-minute production will be shown on the exterior of Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, which opened at the Brevard County attraction this year.
“Starflake’s Holiday Voyage” works its way through the stars, but it includes recognizable features such as NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building, International Space Station, the Artemis Moon rocket and more.
“It’s an exciting time for space exploration with NASA’s return to the Moon on the Artemis I mission, and our holiday season here is designed to share our pride and excitement for our newest attraction, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex,” Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of the visitor complex, said in a news release.
The attraction also is adding new décor and strolling entertainers to its holiday lineup.
“Holiday Voyage” will launch Dec. 16 and will run nightly through Dec. 30.
The décor will be in place by the day after Thanksgiving. Visitors can see a 50-foot Christmas tree in the Rocket Garden featuring 6-foot-tall astronaut nutcrackers. The NASA “meatball” logo will again be presented as a giant Christmas ornament too.
The complex will be closed Dec. 25. For more information, go to kennedyspacecenter.com.
