In a recent announcement by Apple Music, Kendrick Lamar's hit song 'Not Like Us' has secured the top spot on the platform's global song chart for the year 2024. This marks Lamar's first-ever No. 1 on the year-end global songs chart, showcasing the immense popularity of the track among listeners worldwide.

Following closely behind Lamar is Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' in second place, with Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso' claiming the third spot. Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' and Taylor Swift's 'Cruel Summer' round out the top five positions on the chart.

Of the 100 songs featured on the list, a record-breaking 39 tracks are from female-identifying artists, highlighting the diverse range of talent represented in the global music scene.

Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts made waves by topping Apple Music's most-read lyrics chart with their breakthrough track 'Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.' The song's popularity underscores the growing international appeal of Japanese music, with Billie Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' also making a strong showing on the list.

Additionally, Apple Music introduced a new Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, which tracks the most-played songs on radio stations worldwide. Dua Lipa's 'Houdini' claimed the top spot on this chart, followed by Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control' and Tate McRae's 'Greedy.'

Apple Music subscribers can now access their personalized Replay feature, offering insights into their most-listened-to tracks of the year. Artists can also share their year-end data using Apple Music for Artists, providing a comprehensive overview of their music's performance on the platform.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in 2024, Apple Music named Billie Eilish as the artist of the year. Eilish's remarkable year included winning two Academy Awards, releasing her critically acclaimed third album 'Hit Me Hard and Soft,' and receiving seven Grammy Award nominations for 2025.

Reflecting on Eilish's success, Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s senior director of Content and Editorial, praised the artist's evolution and authenticity in connecting with a wide audience through her music.
