Want a hair refresh for summer but have no idea what to get? Allow Kendall Jenner's blonde hair to inspire you, as it's literally the epitome of 'sunkissed.'
While Kendall's copper hair era will always live on in our hearts, the model and 818 founder's latest look is definitely a contender for her best shade to date and we're pretty sure we're about to see it everywhere this summer.
Taking to Instagram to do us all a favor, Kenny's hair colorist, Matt Rez shared a close-up of her new, subtle hair transformation—hot off the set of The Kardashians season 3—and it's the perfect low-maintenance look for beach days and beyond. And if you haven't already saved it to show your own hairstylist...urm, why not?
Inside Kendall Jenner's new summer hair color
We sense a new 2023 hair trend entering the fold...Yes, Kendall has officially swapped her natural dark brunette locks for something a little warmer. Dubbing the look 'sunkissed hair goals,' Rez shared Kendall's new take on the traditional balayage trend.
While the OG Kendall hair color remains at her roots, a range of warm, honey-toned blondes has worked into her lengths, starting at her cheeks right on through to the tips of her hair. This creates an altogether brighter and warmer look, without changing her look too drastically.
It's also super low-maintenance, so if you're wanting a new hairdo that won't have you traipsing back to the salon every few months for a root touch-up, this look could be a godsend. This balayage-esque look affords you months of regrowth, as it will still look deliberate and flattering—thanks to the seamless blending of dark roots to lighter ends.
A brunette balayage is also ideal if you have dark hair and want to go lighter, but don't want to dice with the intense hair damage that can often come with dying or bleaching your whole head of hair.
Kendall's blonde shade is also super versatile, styling-wise. If you prefer a messy Cali-girl, beach wave like Kendall's, this hair color fulfills the assignment easily but if you're also a lover of perfectly sleek hair or soft and bouncy curls (styled with the Dyson Airwarp for instance), this subtle gradient gives your hair a little bit of oomph and interest—as opposed to just one all-over shade.
So, if you're currently struggling with hair boredom, why not take a few cues from Kenny's own summer refresh?
