Rangers have confirmed that striker Kemar Roofe has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The frontman has gone under the knife in a hip operation and will not recover until pre-season next term.
Roofe has endured a nightmare of injuries since moving to Rangers and has struggled to nail down a starting spot in teams managed by Steven Gerrard, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and now Michael Beale.
Updating on his striker today, Beale said: "Kemar Roofe has had a minor hip operation and will also be back for pre-season."
The Ibrox manager also updated on the rest of his squad: "Tom Lawrence has had a minor operation and will be back at pre-season.
"We have one or two bumps but nothing major heading into the weekend. Ridvan, Souttar and King are all available for selection."
Looking ahead to the fixture, Beale discussed the importance of Rangers retaining the Scottish Cup trophy.
He added: "The team have set a standard, the other boys will have to fight in training to earn minutes.
"This is a quarter-final and we will give it the full respect it deserves. Ultimately, our aim is to win this competition but we are focused on the game at the weekend.
"Every game we are building our style, our belief and our confidence. Nothing less than our best will be acceptable.
"The squad is large at the minute, this summer gives us the chance to make some decisions to trim the squad and add competition.
"Every game that goes you can see what Raskin and Cantwell bring now they are getting up to speed. We need to go and do that again in the summer."
