Kemar Roofe offers Rangers fitness update ahead of RB Leipzig as striker drops Europa League hint

Crocked Kemar Roofe has offered an insight into his recovery from injury ahead of a massive week for Rangers.

Roofe's injury looks to have ruled him out of Sunday’s derby clash having picked up a knee issue in the win over Celtic at Hampden.

However, he has an outside chance of making the second leg against RB Leipzig.

The Ibrox side were noticeably missing a recognised striker in the Europa League first leg in Germany side with Joe Aribo, Scott Wright and Ryan Kent forming the front three.

They face Celtic on Sunday as they look to deny Ange Postecoglou's the chance to all-but guarantee the Premiership title, before looking overturn the 1-0 aggregate deficit when Leipzig travel to Ibrox on Thursday.

With Alfredo Morelos out Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men, the pressure is on Roofe to make a quick-fire return to the team.

The Jamaica international has offered a hint over his fitness just 24 hours before the clash at Celtic Park.

The 29-year-old posted an update to his social media with a snap undergoing treatment in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

An image of Roofe giving a thumbs up alongside the comment "recovery continues" as he ramps up his push for a Rangers return.
