Forward Kemar Roofe has offered an insight into his fitness ahead of some crucial games in Rangers' title push.
The Ibrox frontman has been hampered by injury this season and had been set for a call-up for Jamaica's World Cup qualifiers
But following discussion with national boss Paul Hall he was left out of the 23-man squad.
Roofe had returned from injury with a sub appearance against Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup on Friday night, but the news sparked fresh fears that he could miss some vital fixtures.
Jamaica's international dates were set to take the 29-year-old out of upcoming games against Livingston, Ross County and Celtic.
Gio van Bronckhorst is already without talisman Alfredo Morelos for the Premiership triple header.
But Roofe has offered fresh hope that he about to ramp up his Rangers ' recovery with the top of the table clash against Ange Postecoglou's side around the corner.
Roofe posted to Instagram: "After speaking with Coach Paul over the last few weeks regarding my fitness and availability for the upcoming fixtures for Jamaica we decided that it would be best for me to miss out so that I can attend several important appointments to continue my recovery to get back to 100 per cent fitness."
Roofe has only featured in three Rangers games since the start of December having suffered back-to-back injury blows against Hibs and Lyon.
