Kemar Roofe in Rangers injury update as striker admits 'footballing gods are testing me'

Rangers striker Kemar Roofe admits he's facing a fresh injury fight after being forced off after scoring the winner against Aberdeen.

The striker came off the bench to net in extra time but his joy was short-lived after he landed on his arm and shoulder and was spotted in considerable discomfort. Michael Beale revealed after the game the former Leeds forward was set for a scan to assess the extent of the damage suffered against the Dons in the Hampden showpiece. Roofe has been left on the outside looking in for months due to a series of injuries, including a troublesome calf complaint.

The striker, posting on social media, he said: "Buzzing to be going to another final but the footballing gods are testing me again! Just another hurdle to get over and improve." The strike against Aberdeen was his first for the club since he netted against Braga in the quarter final of the Europa League last season.
