Kemar Roofe breaks Rangers exile silence as forgotten striker issues veiled Gio van Bronckhorst reminder

Forgotten Kemar Roofe has told Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst he is "always ready" while struggling for minutes at Ibrox.

The striker has been handed just 10 minutes of league action since the thumping defeat to Celtic in February.

With his only full 90 minutes for Roofe since the Dutchman's arrival coming in the Scottish Cup rout of Annan.

However, the Jamaica international hasn't been given much of a look-in during the Premiership title battle with Van Bronckhorst rarely looking to his bench during games.

He has take to social media to thank the Rangers fans for their support during his lack of game time.

Roofe posted to Instagram alongside a snap of him warming up: "My focused face is always on but inside I’m smiling from the support I receive."

Roofe has scored 11 goals in 26 games for Rangers this season, including the winner against Hibs at Easter Road in December.

He has been hampered by injury issues but is now raring to go with Alfredo Morelos currently reading the line.

But Cedric Itten has been handed more starts than his attacking rival since his recall from Bundesliga side Greuther Furth .
