Kelvingrove in Glasgow to be transformed into £1m 'Elfingrove' Christmas extravaganza

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow is to be transformed into a £1million winter wonderland for an entire month.

Deals and events company itison is bringing to Glasgow in December which will see the inhabitants of one of 's biggest museums come alive and an ancient secret revealed.

The famous building will see a spell-binding Night at the Museum meets GlasGLOW at Christmas tour with a show which will capture the true magic of Christmas.

Using state of the art technology, sound and lighting and lots of elves, visitors will be transported into a fairy-lit winter wonderland.

itison expects around 100,000 visitors to pass through the doors of the art gallery and museum, so get in quick to secure your tickets.

itison will launch Elfingrove which will last for the whole month of December (itison)

Elfingrove will run from December 5 to 23.

The show will include a 70 to 90 minute journey through where magical sounds and lights will bring inhabitants alive.

It will culminate in a spectacular finale where the true magic of the festive period is revealed as you discover an ancient secret.

The interior of the building won't be the only place transformed, the facade will be lit up every night in the run-up to .

Early bird ticket launch on Wednesday, October 2 at 7.30am. So to be in with a chance of getting your hands on some then head over to www.itison.com/elfingrove.

Adult off peak briefs (Monday - Thursday) cost £12, while on Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets will cost £16.

Off peak times for kids cost £8. At weekends itison will be charging a tenner.

All children under three go free.
