While his children Marnie, five, and Milo, two, squealed with delight sitting on their lap.
Speaking to their fans, the Strictly winner said: "We’ve had a power cut, we have been out of power for the last three hours.
"We rushed home to try to catch the last episode tonight of Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure, but we’ve had a power cut.
“So we can’t even get home. We are just literally sat on the drive in the car.”
Despite the hiccup, the family seemed in good spirits and used the opportunity to look back on their favourite moments from the past six episodes.
Four-year-old Marnie recalled her win at the Ashbourne Show and said: "Well, I really liked me showing that sheep."
At which point, Kelvin joked: "I knew it would be about you!"
When they asked their youngest, Milo, what his favourite part of the show was, his response was slightly inaudible, and the only words parents Liz and Kelvin were able to make out were "eat" and "sheep".
Kelvin responded: "What's that mate? Eat sheep? When you ate the sheep?"
Liz and Marnie, confused as to what the three-year-old said couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
The pair later went to a local pub to kill time however, as they returned back to their 120-acre farm the power was still out which meant they missed the final instalment of their BBC reality TV show, Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.
The final episode saw the couple host a party with around 200 guests to mark the end of their first summer in their new lifestyle.
