Kelly Clarkson is "very satisfied" with single life.
The 43-year-old singer has Remy, eight, as well as 10-year-old daughter River with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, and while she has not dated anyone since they divorced in 2020, insiders have claimed that she is "living in a bubble" as she focuses on her career.
A source told People: "Kelly kind of lives in a bubble. She's all about the kids and work. She loves being a mom. Her kids have been clear that they don't want her to date, so she's not.
"She feels very satisfied with life as it is. She knows as the kids get older, dating will be easier. This is not anything she misses at the moment."
The 'Because of You' hitmaker previously explained that her children had begged her not to start seeing someone new, even though she did not necessarily agree to adhere to their wishes.
Speaking on KOST 103.5, she explained: "They constantly bring it up, 'Please, we don't want you with anybody else,.
"They're young, it's hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad.
" I have expressed like, 'Hey, I love you guys but Mommy needs loving too.
The talk show host also explained that she wants her kids to be honest with her about everything, especially in the time since the divorce.
Speaking on the 'IRL' podcast, she said: "I ask my kids every night when we’re snuggling and I put them to bed, ‘Are you happy? And if you’re not, what could make you happier?’
“Especially the past two years – it kills me (but) I want them to be honest so I don’t ever say, ‘Oh God, don’t tell me that!'"
