The last post from American Idol star Kellie Picker's husband Kyle Jacobs before he committed suicide has been revealed.
The country music songwriter had recently shared a snap to Instagram just before his tragic death, where he posted about an album he worked on.
Jacobs, 49, had previously worked on hits for the likes of Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson and Garth Brooks.
In his last social media post he shared an image of Lee Brice's Hey World – which became certified platinum – as he wrote: "Platinum?! SWEEET!!! An amazing crew of incredibly talented peeps put this one together... Deeply honored to be a creative part of it. Thank you Jesus!!!"
Since the sad news of his death became public, friends and fans have flooded the post with messages of condolence.
Country star Jennifer Wayne wrote: "Kyle, I love you so much. I don’t even know why I’m typing this because I know you’re not here… you’re home and with God. But I feel helpless not being able to reach out to you… And maybe you’re reading from heaven… thank you for being the greatest friend to me and big brother that I never had.
"You always protected me and looked out for me… no one will ever take your place with Kellie, but I promise that myself and all of her friends will wrap her in the biggest love we know how. I hope you’re with peanut and we will all see you when we get there."
The Voice singer Jay Allen commented: "No words… love you, brother. You’ll be missed deeply."
Musician Dillon James added: "Man. No words what so ever but I am so glad we got to chat the other day, I’ll be praying for you and your family bud. Thanks for all the laughs Kyle."
On Friday 17 February in the afternoon, Nashville's Department of Emergency Communications received a 911 call at 1:21 p.m. on from a home on Sneed Road, Nashville.
A representative from Nashville Police Department said: "Officers and Nashville Fire Department personnel responded and located resident Kyle Jacobs, 49, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom/office."
Cops said Kellie had been asleep but awoke a short time before the incident and when she did not see Kyle, she began to look for him. After being unable to open a locked bedroom door, Kellie and her assistant called 911.
Kyle and Kellie had been married since 2011 and starred on I Love Kellie Pickler together for three seasons.
In 2014, Kellie opened up to ABC News about their marriage.
"I love my husband, but I actually like him too," she said. "We actually really like each other. We are doing great, can't complain in that department."
