The Birds are used to playoff distractions. The last time Philadelphia had a Super Bowl-caliber offense, Shane Steichen took his talents to Indianapolis. Now, the Eagles have a top team. After the news that Mike McCarthy won’t return as head coach, Kellen Moore has been mentioned as a candidate in New Orleans and potentially Dallas.
Moore has deep ties to the Cowboys and could be the candidate to watch after Jerry Jones officially requested to interview Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator.
Kellen Moore will interview with the Cowboys on Friday, two days before the Eagles' home playoff game. Moore played three years (2015-17) and coached five (2018-22) in Dallas. https://t.co/K7gm5to9S9

Moore, 36, was the Chargers’ offensive coordinator in 2023; after five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, he joined Brandon Staley’s staff in January 2023.
In 2023, the Chargers finished No. 18 in total yards and No. 21 in points scored.
In 2019, the Cowboys offense finished No. 1 in yards and No. 6 in points with Moore as offensive coordinator.
Dallas was No. 1 in both categories in the 2021 season.
