Kell Brook could halt his retirement early and return to the ring, with fights against Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Smith under consideration.
'Special K' called time on his boxing career earlier this year after picking up a dominant KO victory over long-term rival Amir Khan when they finally settled their dispute back in February. Brook is now 36-years-old but showed some sensational form in his grudge performance, and briefly considered a number of fights including one against Eubank Jr.
The British middleweight will now instead face Conor Benn on October 8 at London's O2 arena, but will likely not be short of options if he wins the fight. And Brook's trainer Dominic Ingle has revealed that Brook has had promoters put offers on the table for him if he has the desire to return.
"He says he has the fire in his belly for another fight and he has had certain promoters on to him looking to make fights," Ingle told Boxing King Media when discussing a potential comeback for Brook. "And I have said to him 'if a fight gets your adrenaline going then take the fight but you certainly don't need to do it for money'. He has been offered three or four opponents and I have said 'get training to see how you go, but you certainly don't need to fight again'.
"Kell has been training for the last couple of weeks. Someone has mentioned Liam Smith and maybe the winner of Conor Benn or Eubank but I don't really know. He is doing alright and he is enjoying training but he knows if he is going to get involved in another fight he needs to put his foot on the gas and get moving again. But we will maybe know more in the next two weeks."
Brook was heavily linked with a fight against Eubank Jr following his win over Khan, but he instead elected to follow his rival in hanging up his gloves. The Sheffield star has been rivals with the middleweight ever since beating him to a shot at Kazakh star Gennady Golovkin in which he put up a brave battle but succumbed to defeat.

Despite talks ending earlier this year, Eubank Jr stated he would certainly be open to the possibility of stepping in the ring with Brook. “Absolutely it is a fight that many boxing fans would love to see," Eubank Jr told Mirror Fighting back in February . "He shared the ring with Golovkin when I was supposed to.
"Because of that I have always had a disposition towards him, he was the reason I didn’t get that fight. He is best buddies with Billy Joe Saunders so that automatically makes him an enemy of mine. I actually don’t like his character and how he holds himself so that would definitely be a fight I would be willing to take."
