Keke Palmer’s bold bathroom color is replacing white tiles, according to interior designers

Keke Palmer.

It's not easy being green? Think again. Green bathrooms have been appearing in some of our favorite celebrity abodes, including one designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Gwen Stefani's home.

Keke Palmer is the latest to proudly display the verdant color trend in her bathroom. The singer and actress took to Instagram to share a mirror selfie featuring lime green, crocodile patterned tiles, and it's absolutely beautiful. Move over white tiles.

Experts say that green bathrooms, like Keke's, have several benefits. First, green walls are associated with positive psychology. Nicole Cullum, interior designer and founder at Color Caravan, states: 'Vibrant greens give a rich, luxurious feel with an artful, organic vibe. The color green naturally relaxes us while also conveying a sense of wealth and abundance.

This look also taps into a huge interior design trend for 2024. 'Designers are starting to move away from the white-on-white style and bring back bold colors for a more alluring, color-forward feel,' Nicole explains. And she's not alone in her observations.

'Deep greens and even mint tones will continue to be a popular choice because they can bring color into your home in a subtle but bold way,' adds Amanda Oninski, an interior designer at FLOOR360

Furthermore, like white, interior designers say that a green bathroom color scheme will never go out of style. Nicole says, 'I love seeing designers play with different variations of saturated greens in all shades because it's a timeless look that surpasses trends.'

'Green is a versatile color and, therefore, a timeless choice. You can adjust the styling to create a maximalist and unique design with other colors and textures,' Amanda emphasizes.

' Whether it's through full green walls or the addition of a house plant, green is wonderful in the bathroom for its calming and aesthetic benefits. Spearheaded by Keke Palmer, the timeless shade might even overtake the popularity of white bathrooms this year.
