Keith Urban, the renowned country music artist, is set to release his 11th studio album titled 'High' this Friday. Despite his long and successful career, Urban faced challenges in creating this album. After scrapping a previous record titled '615,' he realized the need to infuse more musical adventurousness and curiosity into his work.

Urban drew inspiration from the New Radicals' album 'Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too,' aiming to capture a balance between structured songs and spontaneous creativity. The album 'High' features a mix of tracks, from the playful duet 'Go Home W U' to the emotional ballad 'Love Is Hard.'

The album's tempo changes reflect its diverse emotional range, with songs like 'Straight Line' and 'Messed Up As Me' offering contrasting experiences. Urban describes the album as a reflection of his dual nature - a blend of responsibility and recklessness.

One of the standout tracks, 'Break the Chain,' delves into Urban's personal struggles growing up with an alcoholic father. The song, co-written with Marc Scibilia, carries a message of breaking destructive behavioral patterns and finding hope for a better future.

Urban's vulnerability and honesty shine through in the songwriting process, as he shares deeply personal experiences with his audience. 'High' is not just a collection of songs but a journey through Urban's life, struggles, and triumphs.
