Back Then When, a new podcast hosted by Keith Lemon and Lucie Cave, will launch next Monday, October 3. Listeners will be taken on a journey back through the decades to seemingly simpler times, with the duo indulging in buckets of nostalgia and feel-good showbiz moments.
Both the host of Celebrity Juice and the former Editor-in-Chief at Heat magazine rifle through iconic publications as they relive what everyone was talking about, wearing, watching and obsessing over at the time. Some famous faces who hit the headlines will join them along the way as they try and remember what they were doing 'back then when'.
The listen is designed for people who live and breathe pop culture, as well as fans of Lemon's typical unfiltered style. Topics include the time when Peter Andre wrote a song called Insania and Posh and Becks got married on purple thrones as they embark on a bonkers trip down pop culture memory lane.
Back Then When is Lemon’s first foray into podcasting. The alter-ego of Leigh Francis has become known for shows such as Celebrity Juice and Through the Keyhole, while he even won a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance in 2016.
The 49-year-old said: "I hope your ears enjoy hearing us talking about the golden years as much as our mouths have enjoyed speaking about them; back when Natalie Imbruglia was singing about being torn, Antony Costa from Blue was in trouble for peeing on cash machines, and Will Mellor looked like a Northern Eminem called Jambo. The golden years!"
Lucie, who is the ghost-writer behind Sunday Times bestselling autobiographies Joey Essex’s Being Reem and Dani Dyer’s What Would Dani Do?, added: “I have so many brilliant memories from the nineties and noughties - a time when life was sillier, and eyebrows were thinner.
“It’s been quite the ride getting into a time machine with Keith - I never know what he’s going to do next. I’ve nearly wet myself on several occasions (from laughing, I haven’t done a Costa!).”
Back Then When will be available weekly from October 3 on various podcast providers, including Global Player.
