Keith Earls captains Ireland for first time as 15 changes made for Māori All Blacks clash

Hot on the heels of Ireland's first ever victory over New Zealand, Andy Farrell's second string has the opportunity in Wellington tomorrow (8.05am Irish time) to make amends for the opening midweek loss of the tour against the Māori All Blacks.

While no caps will be awarded, it will still be a proud occasion for Keith Earls, who has selected to captain his country for the first time.

Munster veteran Earls, 34, started that opening tour defeat in Hamilton - a 32-17 reversal - as well as the first Test loss in Auckland, and he switches to the centre for the Wellington fixture where he will partner Stuart McCloskey - a late squad call-up after Ulster's James Hume was injured in the first game.

Prop Jeremy Loughman returns after his head injury in that defeat and there's an opportunity for Michael Lowry at full-back, with Jimmy O'Brien switching to the wing.

Ciaran Frawley is given another chance at out-half after his start there in the first game, with Joey Carbery again providing back-up.

Only one Irish player who started Saturday's historic victory over New Zealand is involved tomorrow, with Mack Hansen on the bench.

The Māori All Blacks will be skippered by TJ Perenara, who made his debut for the side off the bench last time out.
