Keira Knightley explains why The Beatles are now her parenting secret weapon

Keira Knightley has revealed that The Beatles are giving a hand in the parenting stakes as her young daughter has become obsessed with the legendary band.

The 35-year-old Hollywood actress is married to Klaxons star James Righton, 37, and together they have two daughters – five-year-old Edie and one-year-old Delilah.

And it seems the Star Wars Episode 1 actress’ eldest daughter has become one of The Beatles biggest fans – which appears to have been something of a blessing and a curse for Keira.

The actress explained that she is managing to keep her daughter entertained by the iconic band by playing their classic films; A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, and Yellow Submarine.

Opening up to the Daily Mail, Keira said of her daughter’s music preference: “It is really obsessive. She knows all of the four films.”

As an Oscar nominated star herself, it seems Kira is happy to endure a little bit of pain in order to see her daughter happy.

She confessed: “I am a fan of The Beatles, but the films are not that great.

“But we watch them on a loop. Hard Day’s Night – she knows all the words.”

And it seems Edie has a favourite star within the Fab Four.

Keira said: “Paul McCartney is her big one. Every time he comes on the screen she just screams.”

Love Actually star Keira has previously discussed how her daughter loves popular animation show Paw Patrol.

She said in an interview last year: “We’re really deep, deep, deep into ‘Paw Patrol.’   It’s like toddler crack, isn’t it?

'Which is kind of a good thing because you go, OK it’s been Saturday night, maybe you had a couple more glasses of wine than you should have and then Sunday morning, ‘Paw Patrol’… absolutely amazing.
