Sir Keir Starmer took a swipe at Nigel Farage after Elon Musk snubbed the Reform UK leader.
Just hours after Mr Farage was on TV praising Mr Musk, the billionaire took to X (formerly Twitter) to declare: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.”
Mr Musk's U-turn appeared to be linked to a disagreement over Tommy Robinson.
Mr Farage has defended Mr Musk's attacks on the government over its handling of grooming gangs but distanced himself from Mr Musk’s support for Robinson.
"I think we all had a smile on Sunday when the honourable member said how 'cool' it was to have the support of Musk, only for Musk to say he should be removed just a few hours later," the prime minister said on Wednesday (8 January).
