Keir Starmer appoints Cabinet as he forms Labour government

KEIR Starmer is the Prime Minister of the UK, and has now appointed his Cabinet as he forms a Labour government.

Wes Streeting, who has been touted as a potential future leader of the Labour Party, narrowly retained his seat by a margin of just 528 votes, just about paving the way for him to be made Health Secretary.

He joins Starmer's Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner in the Cabinet, with her also taking up the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities portfolio.

Former Labour leader Ed Miliband has also scooped up a top job, being appointed Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
