Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak to go head-to-head in TV debate – how to watch

KEIR Starmer and Rishi Sunak are set to go head to head in the latest leadership debate in this year’s General Election campaign.

It comes after Monday night’s debate on STV in which a number of Scottish political party leaders went head-to-head.

Here’s all you need to know about tonight’s debate.

When is the debate?

The latest TV debate will be broadcast by ITV on Tuesday, June 4 and it will air from 9pm to 10pm.

It will take place in front of a live TV audience and ITV News presenter Julie Etchingham will act as moderator.

Following this, there will be a series of election interviews as the party leaders of the Liberal Democrats, the SNP, Reform UK and the Greens have been invited to take part.

How can I watch the debate?

Both the debate and interviews will be broadcast on ITV1, ITVX as well as STV and STV Player.

Who is on the debate?

The ITV debate will only feature Starmer and Sunak – a move which was heavily criticised when first announced.

The First Minister was among those to hit out at the broadcaster, saying his party was making “strenuous representations” for inclusion in TV debates.

How do I ask a question?

It is possible for people to put a question directly to those taking part – click HERE to find out more about how to do so.
