Hollywood star Keanu Reeves made his professional auto racing debut at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway over the weekend. Reeves, known for his roles in movies like 'The Matrix' and 'Speed,' took part in the Toyota GR Cup, a Toyota spec-racing series that serves as a support event for the Indy 8 Hour sports car race.
During the 45-minute race, Reeves encountered a moment of excitement when he spun out into the grass on the exit of Turn 9. Fortunately, he managed to avoid any collisions and quickly got back on track, signaling that he was unharmed. Despite starting the race in 31st position out of 35 cars, Reeves showcased his driving skills by climbing as high as 21st before ultimately finishing in 25th place.
Driving the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which is tied to his graphic novel 'The Book of Elsewhere,' Reeves is competing alongside his teammate Cody Jones from the popular group 'Dude Perfect.' This is not the first time Reeves has dabbled in racing, as he previously participated in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach celebrity race, which he won back in 2009.
Despite his busy schedule, Reeves is set to attend a special 30th-anniversary screening of 'Speed' in Los Angeles next week, where he will reunite with his co-star Sandra Bullock. The actor's foray into professional auto racing has certainly captured the attention of fans and the media alike, showcasing yet another facet of his versatile talents.
