After three years of hiatus, "KCON Thailand" is finally coming back. "KCON 2023 Thailand" will be held at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, this weekend (March 18-19). On the first day on Saturday, the artist line-up includes BamBam, (G)I-Dle, iKon, J01, KQ Fellaz 2, Mbitious, P1Harmony, and 8Turn. On the second day, Sunday, Young-jae is the headliner, followed by Itzy, ATEEZ, Kep1er, INI, Tempest, TNX, and TO1.
"KCON 2023 Thailand" is a music event featuring diverse performers, making it a great opportunity for K-pop fans to experience groups they may not be familiar with. Here are some performers that concertgoers may not want to miss.
BamBam
BamBam's performances are entertaining due to his fluid and dynamic dance moves and melodious singing. Most songs on his solo albums, Ribbon (2021) and B (2022), are upbeat and easy listening. His upcoming album, Sour & Sweet will be released on March 28 and it is possible that Thai fans will get to hear a part of it. BamBam is also a witty and talented host so concertgoers will never feel bored during his show.
(G)I-Dle
This five-member girl group is popular among Thai fans because there is a Thai singer, Minnie, in the group. The group stands out from other girl groups because three members -- Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi -- wrote their own songs including Tomboy, Latata and HANN. Tomboy is the most popular track with lyrics that reflect a feminist attitude. The song is also a must-see live performance at the concert.
iKon
iKon is well known for its addictive chart-topping songs as well as its high-energy stage presence. Be ready to sing Love Scenario and Killing Me along with them.
Young-jae
Young-jae is a powerhouse vocalist in Got7, known for his ability to impressively deliver both fast and slow tracks with strong and stable singing. Despite this, he is also known for his playful and quirky personality that entertains concertgoers.
Itzy
The quintet captivates audiences with their vibrant and edgy images, electrifying dance moves, and catchy, upbeat dance songs such as Dalla Dalla, Wannabe, and Icy.
Tickets cost 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 5,500, 5,800 and 8,500 baht available at thaiticketmajor.com.
