KBC bank has confirmed that almost all of its branches in Ireland will be closing their doors permanently from later today, with several Dublin branches affected.
The move is part of the bank's wind down of operations ahead of its exit from the Irish market. KBC's 11 branches located in Galway, Limerick, Cork, Waterford, Kildare and Dublin will close at 5pm today, six months after notice was given that were to shut.
Today there are five Dublin branches closing down, although one branch located in Grand Canal in Dublin, will stay open until the end of August to support a small number of customers who may still want to attend a hub in person. The other branch closures in the country will see 75 people lose their jobs.
