Kay Burley hit back at a social media user who said they'd rather "s**t in my hands and clap" rather than watch the presenter on the Late Late Show.
The seasoned broadcaster was appearing on the RTE show on Friday night and took the horrible comment in her stride, responding: "I’m guessing that’s not the first time you’ve done that."
The Sky journalist has also been explaining this week why she's opted for shoes on her show and Friday's interview rather than her usual heel look.
She tweeted earlier in the week: "Regular viewers know I have broken my foot and they’ve sent lots of kind messages."
Burley said after the appearance on the show that she had "fun" and thanked the show for having her on.
The British broadcaster, 61, was talking to Ryan about how she had been working in journalism for 40 years.
While on the subject she invited the host to comment on how she looks young - however Tubridy wasn't biting after his recent Derry Girls age controversy.
"I love my job," she said. "I don’t get up thinking, 'Oh my goodness I’ve got to do three hours of live telly', I just think I’m so incredibly privileged. It is a long time."
She paused and jokingly said to Tubridy: "This is where you say I don’t look that old."
Tubridy quipped back: “Oh no, I actually don’t comment on age anymore... probably a wise thing.”
Meanwhile, viewers watching at home appeared to have picked up on how he avoided the topic, with one person writing: "Good on ya Ryan (the age quip) #latelate."
This comes following a storm of controversy last month when Tubridy got into hot water after asking Derry Girls’ star Jamie-Lee O’Donnell her age.
