Katy Perry wears skintight Elastigirl costume while celebrating Disney Night on American Idol

Katy Perry transformed into Elastigirl to mark Disney Night on American Idol.

On Sunday night, the singer, 38, stepped out wearing the skintight red-and-black costume of Elastigirl – the star of 2004 Pixar film The Incredibles and its 2018 sequel Incredibles 2.

Her look was finished off with a wig in a retro 1960s style and eyemask to portray Elastigirl aka Mrs. Incredible.

Posting pictures of the costume on Sunday – which was International Mother’s Day – Perry wrote in her social media caption: “I’m a mother what’s your superpower?!”

In another post to mark Mother’s Day, Perry posted a picture of a card written by her daughter Daisy, 2, who she shares with her fiancé Orlando Bloom.

The note read: “Mama I love it when we eat snacks together. We can eat chocolate. I love you.”

Perry captioned the post: “If I anyone ever [sic] needed proof that Daisy is my daughter they can always reference the card she told her teachers to write me at school for.”

Last weekend, Perry performed at the Coronation Concert in Windsor Palace to mark the crowning of King Charles.

The show was watched by an average audience of 10.1 million, according to overnight figures from the BBC.

The star-studded event at Windsor Castle, which saw performances from Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That, had a peak viewership of 12.3 million, the broadcaster said.

Kate Phillips, BBC Director of Unscripted, said: “Last night’s Coronation Concert was an unforgettable evening of spectacular performances that brought us all together in celebration.

“Against the stunning backdrop of Windsor Castle, the concert reflected many of the King’s passions and highlighted the outstanding talent we have in the UK and beyond.

Quoting a hit from the concert’s closing act, Take That, she added: “We hope that viewers ‘never forget’ it!”
