Katy Perry's seven-word response to getting lost at King's Coronation

Katy Perry has responded after clips of her appearing to look lost at the King’s coronation went viral.

The pop star was among a variety of famous faces spotted amid the 2,200 guests gathered in Westminster Abbey on Saturday. The thousands of guests were dressed to the nines, but it was their antics before the ceremony began that caught viewers' attention.

In video footage circulated online, Katy Perry looked to have had some trouble finding where she was supposed to sit as she attempted to see past her large pink hat, reports MyLondon. After looking a bit lost, she pointed to an empty seat and seemed to ask if it was assigned to her.

The American singer afterwards reassured fans that she eventually found her place. She tweeted after leaving the Abbey this afternoon: "Don't worry guys I found my seat."

Twitter users made light of the clip, one person referencing her recent appearance in an advertisement for the Just Eat app. They said: "Did somebody say Just Seat."

Responding to Katy, another person tweeted: “Every time I’m lost I will think of you at the coronation.” A third wrote: “Oh how I’m getting MAJOR déjà vu. Y’all remember when Oprah got lost at the royal wedding?”

Others however expressed sympathy for them and suggested waiting for events to get going would not have been easy. They said: "It’s so awkward when you know cameras are around and photographers and you're in probably one of the most nerve wracking events they’ll be at knowing if you at any point look grumpy the cameras will get you and you’ll be plastered all over media."
