Katy Perry's 'Lifetimes' Video Under Investigation For Environmental Damage

Katy Perry

Katy Perry’s latest music video for her song “Lifetimes” is currently under investigation for potential environmental damage. The video, which was filmed in Ibiza and various locations in Spain’s Balearic Islands, has sparked concerns due to the production company's failure to obtain proper authorization for filming.

A press release from the Balearic Islands’ Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment revealed that the production company did not seek permission to film, leading to an investigation into possible violations. The filming reportedly took place at the protected sand dunes of S’Espalmador, raising further environmental concerns.

The video, directed by Stillz, features Katy Perry enjoying a carefree journey to Ibiza, where she is seen partying with friends at different locations. The video's release on August 8 has garnered attention, with fans eagerly anticipating Perry’s upcoming album, titled 143, set to be released on September 20.

Perry’s new album is expected to showcase a dance-pop sound, with the singer expressing her intention to create a celebratory and bold musical experience. The album's title, 143, symbolizes the message of love, with Perry explaining that it represents “I love you.”

The inspiration behind Perry’s album reportedly stems from her daughter, whom she credits for bringing unconditional love and happiness into her life. Perry’s creative process for 143 is rooted in a sense of wholeness and true love, reflecting her personal journey and experiences.
