Katy Perry has revealed the very sweet reason behind her decision to go sober with her fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The couple announced back in March that they agreed to take on the challenge of abstaining from alcohol for three months, with their pact now coming to an end.
The 38-year-old singer has said she wanted to stop drinking to support her partner, but added that she does now indulge in a bit of weekend drinking.
"It was an opportunity to reset. We reset after President's Day, and it was a great opportunity to just let my body bounce back a little bit. I've had a pretty good relationship with just finding balance," she shared.
Katy admitted that she has never been into drinking on weeknights and only indulges "a little bit".
Sharing more about their abstinence, Katy told People : "We did this because he's shooting a movie in London right now that's taking every ounce of his focus, and so I wanted that opportunity to be supportive.
"It's really hard to do anything, whether that's doing a cleanse or a reset, unless your partner's doing it. So, doing it together makes it so much easier."
Katy also said she loved to have her "reset moments", especially when caring for her daughter.
The California Gurls hitmaker shares her two-year-old daughter Daisy with Orlando. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor also has 12-year-old son Flynn with his ex-girlfriend Miranda Kerr.
Miranda has previously shared her joy at co-parenting with Katy and said the two formed a strong bond after attending family events together.
"We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that's the most important thing," she said during an appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show.
