Katy Perry reveals Coronation Concert 'perk' as she performs at Windsor Castle

Katy Perry owned up to a massive perk of performing at Sunday night's Coronation Concert, as she wowed a 20,000 strong crowd at Windsor Castle, a day after looking like she was struggling to find her seat for the service in Westminster Abbey.

American star Katy was one of the biggest names on the bill for the special show in front of members of the Royal Family, including the newly crowned King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

After some complaints that the Coronation Concert started too late, fans there in person and the millions who tuned in at home were left entertained by early performances from the likes of Olly Murs and Nicole Scherzinger.

Other acts on stage for the concert included Andrea Bocelli, Paloma Faith and Lionel Richie, with some viewers raising concerns about the music icon, due to how different he sounded.

Cities across the country also got a share of the spotlight, including Cardiff, Newcastle and Edinburgh, as part of the Light Up The Nation segment, before Katy started her set with 2013 number 1 hit Roar.

And, it was after that emphatic opening that Katy briefly halted her set to say how lucky she felt to be able to have her mum with her on her trip to London for the Coronation, also revealing she got to stay in Windsor Castle.

Katy, who also sang Firework at the Coronation Concert, met the now King Charles at an event in Mumbai in 2019, before she was announced as an ambassador for the British Asian Trust's Children's Protection Fund for India.
