Katie Taylor Next Fight: Who is 'KT' Fighting In Her Next Bout?

The Katie Taylor next fight is yet to be announced, after the Irish boxing superstar defeated Amanda Serrano for the second time in their rematch on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard. Could ‘KT’ retire next or have a trilogy bout with Serrano or Chantelle Cameron?

Katie Taylor Next Fight: Could ‘KT’ Have Trilogy Bouts With Amanda Serrano Or Chantelle Cameron?

After beating Amanda Serrano last time out on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard, Katie Taylor’s next fight is yet to be confirmed.

‘KT’ improved her record to 24-1, defending her undisputed world super-lightweight titles in her rematch with Serrano. The fight was another close one, with the Irish boxing star getting the nod via unanimous decision after 10 gruelling rounds.

The only defeat on her resume remains her first bout with Chantelle Cameron, a loss she avenged in their rematch. There is no doubting that Katie Taylor is arguably the greatest sportsperson to ever come out of Ireland, and is the pound-for-pound queen of boxing.

Now, there is even more talk and conversation about the Katie Taylor next fight. After arguably stealing the show on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard, the 38-year-old has even more options going forward in her career.

Many boxing fans want to see a trilogy with Serrano, despite Taylor winning both the first and second fights. The contests have been so evenly fought that a trilogy isn’t totally out of the questions.

Similarly, another potential fight for ‘KT’ next is of course the trilogy with Chantelle Cameron. These seem the two most obvious options for the Katie Taylor next fight is she is to continue her career. However, hanging up the gloves and retiring is also another option for the Irish boxing superstar.

Could Katie Taylor Retire Following Victory In The Serrano Rematch?

Chantelle Cameron and Amanda Serrano have both been talked about as potential opponents for Katie Taylor’s next fight after the Amanda Serrano rematch. Time will tell whether this is the case or not, but another option Taylor might think about is retirement.

Nobody would begrudge Taylor if she decided to hang up her gloves. She is 38-years-old, has achieved so much in the sport as both an amateur and pro. She has nothing left to prove, and retirement is certainly an option worth considering.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has said he can see why retirement could be a legitimate option for ‘KT’. However, he has also said on numerous occasions that fighting on could be on the cards too. At the end of the day, she is the single biggest star in female boxing and could make millions more before she eventually retires.

Saudi Arabia boxing chief, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, could also want to get involved with Katie Taylor. There was a women’s world title fight on a Riyadh Season card for the very first time in Saudi Arabia in October 2024, so Taylor teaming up with the Saudi’s could be an option going forward too.

If Taylor decides to fight on, the best boxing betting sites in the UK would likely list her as the favourite, regardless of the opponent. Time will tell whether the Irish boxing star fights on, or if she rides off into the sunset as the greatest female fighter to ever grace the ring.
