Some Katie Taylor fans have branded Amanda Serrano a 'sore loser' over recent comments made by the Puerto Rican on social media.
Serrano has now claimed that she did not lose her Madison Square Garden bout with the undisputed lightweight champion on April 30.
The Bray Bomber won the fight via split decison after two judges scored it 97-93 and 96-93 in her favour, with a third giving it 96-94 to Serrano.
But Serrano took to social media on Saturday night to state that she now believes she did not lose the fight, having originally been humble in defeat.
The 33-year-old tweeted: "One week later…Had a chance to reflect on the fight against Katie. It was very close, but I did not lose. That I am certain of. Next time I will leave no doubt. Can’t Wait!
"I walked in a champ and I walked out a champ."
Some Taylor fans have hit out at Serrano over the comments.
One said: "Nobody likes a sore loser."
Another commented:"Sour grapes, the judge's said she lost, Katie Taylor should tell her the same. But Katie is too humble to tell her that."
Someone else added: "Serrano had 1 or 2 good rounds. That's it. Katie performed better on the night."
But others feel that Serrano is just trying to build up hype around the rematch, which Taylor reiterated over the weekend she wants to take place at Croke Park.
One fan wrote: "This is all part of the game and the build up."
Another said: "Just trying to build hype for the rematch."
Taylor took in Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's shock defeat to Dmitry Bivol in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Speaking to DAZN at the T Mobile Arena, she said: “A rematch would be brilliant. I’m up for any challenge, I want to fight the best out there.
“I would absolutely love to fight in Ireland. A big fight in Croke Park with 80,000 people. That would probably be the only thing that could top what happened last week.
“Imagine filling 80,000 seats that would be very, very special. It would be easy to sell as well I think.”
On the MSG fight, Taylor added: “It is going to be in for Fight of the Year as well. It was just an amazing night for the sport.”
Just one week on from the history-making fight in New York, the majority of Taylor's facial injuries suffered in the bout appeared to have cleared up.
The undisputed lightweight champion bled heavily from a cut above her eye during the ten-round contest.
Taylor was also badly bruised after the bout, with Hearn having to wipe blood from the left side of her face at one stage during the post-fight press conference.
