Katie Taylor has taken to social media to thank fans for their support after her defeat to Chantelle Cameron on Saturday night.
Taylor’s loss to the Northampton brawler at the 3Arena was the first of the Bray Bomber's professional career and her first defeat of any kind since the 2016 Olympics.
During the build-up to the fight, Taylor revealed that she was blown away by all the support she received as she geared up for the biggest fight of her life.

While Saturday night didn’t go her way, the 36-year-old is still grateful for all the support of her homeland and took to Instagram to thank fans and congratulate Cameron.
“Not the result or performance I wanted last night but incredibly grateful to everyone for the amazing support. Beidh me ar ais arís!” wrote Taylor on Instagram.
Having started slow on Saturday evening, Taylor grew into the contest as the fight progressed but wasn’t able to overturn Cameron’s sizeable early lead.
Retirement is seemingly out of the question for the 2012 Olympic Champion, with rematches against Cameron and Amanda Serrano the most likely course of action.
