Katie Price has been slammed as a "disgrace" for driving her new £60,000 Hummer in sliders, following her two year ban.
The former glamour model, 44, upset driving campaigners after she was seen taking to the wheel in the flimsy footwear on Monday.
Back in 2021, Katie was handed a 16 week suspended jail sentence and a driving ban after she admitted to drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance following a crash near her home.
She had flipped her car on the B2135 in Sussex whilst on her way to see a friend.
The mum-of-five was pulled from the wreckage of her BMW X5 after being found slumped in the passenger seat by a passer-by.
After the incident, Katie completed her court assigned rehab order after she tested positive for alcohol and Class A drug cocaine.
Following the fresh images of her driving in sliders, campaigners say it is a "disgrace".
"Those are the sort of shoes you'd expect somewhere to wear at a swimming pool - not driving a huge car like that with her driving record," one anti-drink driving campaigner told The Sun.
"It's an absolute disgrace and is very dangerous. She's putting herself and other road users at risk.
"I don't see how you'd safely be able to control such a car while wearing those shoes."
Former Met cop Peter Bleksley added to the publication: "This is shocking. It sets a terrible example."
The Mirror has contacted Katie's representatives for comment.
The Highway Code does not state anything specific about driving without shoes but Rule 97 outlines: "You should ensure that clothing and footwear do not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner."
Katie's new motor boasts a personalised number plate and huge suspended alloy wheels as well as a left-hand-drive.
Earlier this year, Katie revealed she attempted suicide after hitting 'rock bottom' following her drink-driving arrest.
The TV personality's turbulent life continued last week after she had been due to attend a hearing over her bankruptcy and £3.2m debt repayment at the Royal Courts of Justice but had it pushed back for a fifth time, to July 7 this year.
